- The Price is Right
I came downstairs at 9 am and it was pretty quiet. Erica and I ate breakfast together before I started studying. Our cousins, DJ and Dione, were still asleep because they were super jet-lagged.
My dad took Erica to her SAT prep class at 11 am and DJ and Dione still weren’t awake. I kept doing MCAT test prep because I really didn’t know what else to do. I was super distracted, though, so I didn’t get that much stuff done.
A little before noon, Dione came downstairs. I made her cereal and got her a glass of milk. She really loves milk. My dad had come back from taking Erica to SAT prep already, so he told us to get ready. We were all going to go pick up Erica and have lunch. Dione went upstairs to go get ready and to wake up her sister, but I stayed downstairs for a bit longer.
I went up at around 12:20 to get ready, since we were supposed to leave at like 12:30. I like to leave myself as little time as possible to get ready because that makes me get ready fast and go. At 12:30, DJ still wasn’t ready, so we had to wait a little longer. We left at around 12:40 to pick up Erica and 12:50; it was around a 20 minute drive. Needless to say, Erica was salty that we were late.
We took a short 1 minute drive to the mall to go eat lunch. Erica ate Chipotle and my dad got takeout at a Japanese restaurant there, but the rest of us ate Panda Express. Dione was super excited to eat there, and I’m not really sure why. She and I both got plates, while DJ got a bowl. We all also got bubble tea! DJ, Dione, and I didn’t finish our food, so we wrapped our food up to take it home in the Tesla. My dad likes to put food in the frunk (front trunk) of the Tesla so that the inside of the car doesn’t smell like food. I don’t know who came up with “frunk,” but it makes me uncomfortable.
Sorry, I got distracted by the word, “frunk.” We didn’t even go back to the car right away. We ended up walking around the mall and going shopping. We spent the most time in H&M. Dione bought some shirts, and DJ bought a dress and a shirt. It took DJ a long time to decide what she wanted, though, so we were there for a while.
After shopping, we went to CVS because Erica wanted to buy makeup. We only really went there because my dad had a $5 off coupon. Everything’s a little more expensive at CVS, so we don’t really go that often. I saw bottle Dunkin’ Donuts coffee there, which was weird because we don’t have Dunkin’ Donuts here. It reminded me of Boston, and kind of made me want to go back.
We went home and just relaxed. DJ and Dione were still sluggish, so we didn’t have anything else planned for the day. We played a lot of Mario Kart. Later in the afternoon, Eunice came over. She was planning to sleep over, so she brought her stuff with her. We didn’t really do much for the rest of the day, but we did play High School Musical: Sing It on the Wii. Since we were playing on the Wii U, we had to restart the game. We, basically, had to sing along with the movie in bad cartoon form. We played that for hours; my mom complained and told us to be quiet, but we kind of weren’t quiet. Jasper even sent us a Snapchat that said he could hear our karaoke from his house.
When everyone was tired, we went upstairs to pump up the air bed for Eunice to sleep on. It was weird because Erica and I slept in our own rooms, Eunice slept on the air bed, DJ slept on the guest room bed, and Dione wanted to sleep on the floor. So, we didn’t really have to pump up the air bed, but we didn’t realize until after it was done. It all worked out though; everyone got their own space.
